LT. COLONEL DANNY BARBER - FHPA Commander As Deputy Director, LTC. Barber is responsible for all operational aspects of the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary. LTC. Barber was appointed to the FHPA in 1980 and promoted to the Command Staff in 1993. Through his career with the FHPA, Barber has served in each leadership position in Troop L. He holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration and works as a District Manager at Publix Supermarkets with responsibility for more than 2,000 associates. Lt. Colonel Barber serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary Foundation. He resides in Palm Beach, Florida. | |
CHIEF JEFFREY PEELER - North Region As North Region Chief, Peeler oversees field operations for Troops A, B, C, G and H. Chief Jeff Peeler joined the FHPA in June of 1983 and has served in Troops D and K in all unit positions including Trooper, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and most recently as the senior Major of the FHPA State Staff as Commander of Troop K. Jeff is highly active and involved in all areas of the FHPA including patrolling, recruiting, training, details, committees, memorabilia displays, retiree’s functions, and the FHP Academy. Jeff was nominated for and selected as the Auxiliary of the Year in 2013. Jeff is a founding member (2009) of the Volunteer Law Enforcement Officers Alliance and currently serves on the Board of Directors. | |
CHIEF ELDEN (PAT) BRADLEY III - South Region As South Region Chief, Bradley oversees field operations for Troops D, E, F, K and L. Chief Bradley joined the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary in July of 1987 in Troop L, Palm Beach. Served as Troop Commander of Troop L in 2001 until assuming the command of Chief in October 2011. Chief Bradley holds an Associate Degree in Accounting and has been employed since 1984 with the Tax Collector, Palm Beach County with current position as Director of Tax Services. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary Foundation and resides in Lake worth, Florida. | |
CHIEF CRUZ MORALES - Special Services Command As Chief of Special Services, Morales oversees auxiliary recruit training coordination with the FHP Academy, applicant background investigations, systems technology, the recruitment section, and the Strategic Partnership & Community Engagement Section (SPACES). Chief Morales is the developer and administrator of the agency's social media and web-based technologies. Chief Morales is a former New York City Police Officer and Insurance Fraud Investigator. He was appointed to the FHPA in 2009 and assigned to Troop D-Deland until 2018. During that time, Morales held various positions to include Lieutenant, District Commander, Troop Recruiter Coordinator, Background Investigator, and FDLE Certified Instructor. Chief Morales was the recipient of the Trooper of the Year Award in 2014 and 2021. | |
CHIEF JOSEPH GENNARI - Administrative Officer In this position, Chief Gennari serves as the Chief Financial Officer and oversees a unit Captain, ten district finance officers, and the quartermaster program. Chief Gennari was appointed as a Trooper with the FHPA in 2012 and was assigned to Troop L. He was promoted to the rank of Major after accepting the position of Chief Financial Officer in May of 2017. Gennari holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and works as Vice President and General Manager for Lennox NAS of North America. MAJOR MIKE FRAHER - Training Division Coordinator In this position, Major Fraher is responsible for law enforcement training issues and coordination of FHPA training events. Major Fraher was appointed to the FHPA in 1984 in Troop L, Broward County. During his time in Ft. Lauderdale, he has held various positions through the rank of Captain/Unit Commander and Troop Executive Officer. In 1995, he received the Auxiliary Officer of the Year award. In 2005, he moved to Tallahassee and joined the Command Staff as Major/Training Coordinator. Major Fraher has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University, and is a certified law enforcement instructor in general subjects as well as the high liability areas of firearms, driving, and first aid. MAJOR RICK COFFMAN - Statewide Recruiter Coordinator In this position, Major Coffman leads the statewide recruiting team, which consists of ten Sergeants, and oversees all aspects of the applicant screening process. Major Coffman is a Veteran of the US Army having served as a Military Police Officer. After serving in the US Army, he has worked in Public Safety communications and technology development roles for over 12 years. Major Coffman was appointed to the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary in 2013 and has served in Troop D Deland District until December 2022. MAJOR LUIS STERLING - Strategic Partnership & Community Engagement Section (SPACES) As the program coordinator, Major Sterling leads the SPACES team, which consists of three Sergeants, and oversees all aspects of corporate partnerships, community engagement and business development. The purpose of the unit is to raise awareness and build strong relationships within our communities that will support the future growth of the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary. Major Sterling was appointed to the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary in 2011 and has served in Troop K Orlando and Troop D Orange County. During his tenure in the Auxiliary, he has served as a Recruiter, Background Investigator, Instructor, District Executive Officer, Troop Recruiter Coordinator, and District Commander. Major Sterling is a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served in Dessert Storm as a Navy Hospital Corpsman with the Marines. He attained his Florida Law Enforcement Officer certification at Valenica College in 2009. | |
MAJOR ROBERT MCMILLIN - Auxiliary Recruit Academy Coordinator In this position, Major McMillin coordinates all FHPA recruit training, certification, and conducts other special projects for FHP training. Since joining FHPA in 2009, Major McMillin has served in a number of positions, primarily in training. He holds FDLE certifications as an instructor for First Aid, Firearms, and Vehicle Operations. Major McMillin is a veteran, having retired from he US Navy in 1994 and worked in the IT industry for several decades. He is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and also has an MBA from the University of South Florida. | |
MAJOR BRAD FEUER, M.D., J.D. - Chief Troop Surgeon In this position, Major Feuer developed the Troop Surgeon Program and is responsible for the state-wide health and safety of the members of the FHP and FHPA. He is responsible for developing member wellness programs as well as administering FHP’s regional Critical Incident Peer Support Team. He also serves as the Patrol’s Medical Director, with responsibilities at the training Academy, as well as the Southern Regional Tactical Response Team. Major Feuer has served with the FHPA since 2003. He is a board-certified family physician, as well as a licensed healthcare risk manager, attorney-at-law and member of the Florida Ba. He serves as a clinical professor and regional dean at both Nova Southeastern University, and the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Major Feuer is the director of medical education and the designated institutional official at the Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education. |
